Underground Space Lab

Welcome to Underground Space Lab (USL) at Department of Civil Engineering, Pusan National University (PNU), Korea. Current demands for new space generation and a state of art monitoring technology open a huge opportunity for emerging geotechnology to contribute to the world. I believe that creativity and interdisciplinary convergence are key initiatives in current science and engineering fields. We study underground space excavation with alternative methods and ground monitoring technology for the sustainable development.

We are looking for master students, PhD students, and postdoctoral research fellows who have interest to challenge the research topics “Underground Space Generation and Monitoring” and “Sustainable Environmental Geotechnology”. Please join the Underground Space Lab.
